As a developing island nation, challenges such as our young yet rapidly growing population and the escalating non-communicable disease crisis, place us in great need of advancing our health infrastructure.
Hatanga is pleased to support the World Health Organisation (WHO) through its Solomon Islands country office, to deliver quality and sustainable healthcare infrastructure that will enhance the services offered to our people. In partnership with the National Referral Hospital (NRH) and WHO, one of our projects in the first half of this year focused on the expansion of the hospital Oxygen Storage Plant.
It has been a long-time struggle to meet patient demand for oxygen, because of the very limited storage capacity we have at NRH. The completion and handover of this project will mean a great difference in supplementing our daily medical response, especially in critical conditions.
Our team is pleased with the success. We acknowledge WHO and NRH for entrusting us with this build, and especially to the team on the ground who have all contributed to keeping us on schedule, and in ensuring quality delivery.
We look forward to similar opportunities in the future where we can assist with.
