The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI) hosted the 8th Business Excellence Awards (BEA) ceremony on November 16 2024, at the Aquatic Centre Hall within the National Sports Precinct in Honiara. This highly anticipated event happens bi-annually, and is a platform that recognises enterprises and individuals for exceptional business practice, leadership, and contribution to the economic development of Solomon Islands.
Honourable Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, Jeremiah Manele, delivered the special address. In his remarks, he acknowledged the private sector for being the key contributor in driving the nation’s economic progress and highlighted the significance of resilience and innovation for local business prosperity. Governor of Central Bank, Dr Luke Forau, Chair of the Business Excellence Awards Committee, Sandra Fore, and SICCI Chief Executive Officer Mr James Dolarii also gave remarks.

A total of 47 nominations were received across 11 category awards, and of the award winners, the Prime Minister’s Award recipient was selected. SICCI also provided an appreciation award to one of their members in recognition of their good service.
